Terms and Conditions

Please read the current Terms and Conditions carefully because when you place an order on this web site you are agreeing to be bound by them. When you register with Gastronomica (or "us") you warrant that you are a business operated by a person who is at least 18 years of age or you are a person of that age.

1. Purchase Contract

1.1 Subject always to availability your order will be effective as soon as it is accepted and confirmed by Gastronomica by receipt of our email.
1.2 If your order includes alcoholic products you must ensure that a suitable adult is present to receive the goods.

2. Prices

2.1 Prices are those set out on our web site at the time you place your order.
2.2 Prices shall be inclusive of any VAT payable but exclusive of those delivery charges set out in 4 below.

3. Methods of Payment

Payment may be made by debit, credit or charge card as listed on our web site. You may choose to pay through 3D Secure or PayPal.

4. Delivery

4.1 London. Except in the week before and after Christmas we will deliver orders to addresses in Central London area within two working days.
4.1.1 Orders over £50 are free of charge. Orders less than £50 are charged at £5.
4.1.2 Orders for urgent delivery are subject to quotation and confirmation by email.
4.2 UK Mainland (excluding Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and islands). Except in the week before and after Christmas we will arrange for delivery usually within 2 working days.
4.2.1 Orders over £100 are free of charge. Orders less than £100 are charged at £7.
4.3 Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and islands. Except in the week before and after Christmas we will arrange for delivery usually within 3 working days.
4.3.1 All orders are charged at £25.
4.4 All delivery times and charges are subject to correct and effective addresses provided by you.

5. Unavailability, Defective Goods and Incorrect Deliveries

5.1 If a product is unavailable we will inform you by email or phone and offer you a substitute product or a full refund of its price.
5.2 We guarantee the quality of our goods, but you must inspect them upon arrival and notify us promptly by email of any dissatisfaction with your order.
5.3 We will fully refund the price of goods which do not meet with your reasonable satisfaction.
5.4 In the case of over or under deliveries resulting from our fault we will arrange for the return of goods to us or for a refund as the case may be.

6. Privacy

We respect your privacy. Information about our customers is kept confidential and is not shared with third parties. We will use your personal information only for the purposes for which you provide it – to handle and deliver orders, to process payments and to inform you of our products.

7. Liability

7.1 Gastronomica's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of goods supplied. We shall not be liable for any consequential loss whether arising from a breach of duty in contract or in any other way. Your statutory rights are not affected by this statement.
7.2 These terms and conditions are governed by English law and you shall submit any dispute or claim to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
